Hide it, Don’t Bite It

When at work, with a glass jar of Hershey’s Kisses on their desk, workers ate an average of 7.7 of the bite-sized pieces of heaven per day. When they put the tasty treats in an opaque jar 6 feet away from their desk, they only ate 3.1 per day. Holy Hiding Candy, Batman!

Keeping food and chocolate treats out of eyesight does work to reduce temptation while whittling calories and caries. Even at home, keep a bowl of candies or chocolates hidden, selectively revealing its contents to guests for an after-dinner sweet taste. A novel thought – buy high quality chocolate squares and place one or two on your guest’s plate.
