Join me and others in reviewing Evelyn Tribole’s 4th edition Intuitive Eating. Intuitive eating is a non-diet philosophy of eating that makes you the expert of your body and its hunger and fullness signals. Intuitive Eating is not a diet. It doesn’t recommend what you “Should eat” while chastising the “Should not eat” foods – in fact, all foods are non-binary, no good or bad, should or shouldn’t, healthy or not. Intuitive Eating doesn’t tell you what to eat – it invites you to intuit your body’s needs and be the expert that you are. Let’s meet together to see exactly how to do that!

Time:  3-4:15 pm (EDT)

Cost:  $30/session payable in full ($300) before Week 1. Credit card, Venmo, Zelle, and checks accepted.

As we’ll discuss one principle per group session, we’ll meet for 10-weeks on the above dates. It will be helpful to read the Intro, The Science Behind Intuitive Eating, What Kind of Eater are You and Overview of Principles, etc. plus index and appendices, before our first meeting. I’ll guide us into open discussion about the meaning of IE, barriers to implementing the principles, how we apply IE in our daily lives, and integrate it into our social groups, and more.

As a group, we’ll set safety guidelines Week 1, i.e., what is needed to help each of you feel safe sharing in the dyads or group; includes confidentiality, concerns re exposure of vulnerable feelings and thoughts around food and body image, discouraging feedback in sharing time that could feel judgmental, the option to not share in the group, and mutual respect.

Please order the Fourth Edition of Intuitive Eating. If you have an older copy, that’ll do. We will not be reviewing the workbook this time around.
