Tired people have less leptin (a hormone that tells you when to stop eating) and ghrelin (to let you know when you’re hungry), as well as a bigger appetite and weight gain. Tired people hug themselves with food – get some sleep and hug a tree instead.

Yoga for Mindful Eating—Nourish from Within

Explore your relationship with food, body image, and emotions through yoga and mindful awareness. You’ll use yoga poses and philosophy, education, discussion and spiritual support on this journey to break the cycle of dieting and bingeing and move toward change, self-acceptance and self-awareness.

Through this unique 7-week program, you'll experience how yoga reunites your body to your heart and mind to fill the void that separates them.

Just bring a pen and a pad of paper and dress in loose and comfortable clothing- we'll supply all the yoga accessories you'll need for this voyage into mindful eating and utlimately, a deep self love.

My counseling style emphasizes the partnership between you and me. With you as the leader, my work with you is as a guide. As a partner, I support you in connecting barriers to change with a toolbox of techniques that lead to success.

Through exploration of triggers and unconscious behaviors, you will discover the ability to create balance and harmony at every level and be able to identify deep-seated patterns that do not align with your internal and conscious goals. You’ll discover your personal desires and establish realistic expectations. In that effort, change begins and you reconnect to your true nature.

Weight management, binge eating disorder, general well-being, and gastrointestinal conditions (such as Irritable Bowel Disease, Crohn's, gluten intolerance) are of special interest to me, as well as partnering with and assisting week-end warriors and competitive athletes alike in establishing a dietary protocol to enhance successful performance.

Nutrition services include:

  • Initial Nutritional Assessment (1-hour) — $130
  • Follow-up Visits (30-minutes) — $85
  • Multi-visit packages discounted
  • Online and Telephone Counseling
  • If you must reschedule an appointment, 24-hour notice is kindly requested
